Irish Singer-songwriter Ivan Nicolas started out as a drummer in a blues band and then progressed to guitar and piano. He crossed the path of Philip Donnelly, Philip was a session musician for Johnny Cash and was a frequent luminary of The Everly Brothers, John Prine, Emmylou Harris, Nanci Griffith, Townes Van Zandt, Donovan, and many others on the Nashville circuit. During Ivan’s time touring and being mentored by Philip he began to learn the craft of song writing and performing.

Cork-born Irish singer-songwriter Ivan Nicolas is known for his emotive storytelling and cinematic indie-rock sound. His singles Voodoo Love and All Your Wonder have earned him acclaim from Hot Press for his soulful voice and soaring melodies. Voodoo Love has also been shared internationally by Mexico’s Dark Impala, while All Your Wonder continues to build momentum globally (Dark Impala feature).

Ivan’s music has been played on BBC Introducing, RTÉ 2FM, and U.S. stations including WVMM Pulse 90.7 FM and Pulse Radio, showcasing his ability to craft songs that resonate both intimately and on a grand scale. With more singles on the way, his debut album, produced by Dani Castelar & Gavin Fitzjohn (Paolo Nutini, Jordan Mackampa, Manic Street Preached, Stereophonics) promises to cement his place as one of Ireland’s most compelling new voices.
